* JUROR *

JUROR - From juro, to swear; a man who is sworn or affirmed to serve on a jury.

While the selection and other details regarding jurors differ according to location, generally they are selected from citizens, may be compelled to serve by fine, they generally receive a compensation for their services, and while attending court they are often privileged from arrest in civil cases.
