Note: This page was originally devoted to the Library's dispute with Interlaw Ltd. relating to the use of the domain name 'inter-law.com'. Interlaw claimed our use of that domain name infringed their trademark rights. We disagreed and claimed the right to use it for continued access to the Library. In February 1996, we sued Interlaw and others.
We're Happy To Say The Dispute Has Been Long Resolved. We dismissed the suit and both sides worked together on the Library's domain name transition from 'inter-law.com' to 'lectlaw.com'. The specific settlement terms are confidential, but we can say that both the Library and Interlaw Ltd. are pleased to have reached a rational, mutually beneficial resolution of the dispute.
